Leeza is a naturopathic student with a profound interest in oriental medicine. Currently in her final year at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she is completing her clinical internship. Her journey into natural medicine began after several years of working as a model, which sparked her curiosity about understanding her body. This curiosity eventually led her to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine.
Leeza holds an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Guelph University, which laid the foundation for her deep understanding of the human body and its intricate systems. Her areas of interest include gut health, cardiovascular health, and hormonal health. These focus areas allow her to approach patient care holistically, ensuring comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.
One of the most enriching experiences of her career was completing an acupuncture internship in Hanoi, Vietnam, at a traditional medicine hospital. This opportunity allowed her to observe firsthand how traditional and modern medicine can be synergistically integrated for optimal patient health. In addition to academic pusuits, Leeza spent some years working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. This background has equipped her with a practical understanding of physical health and wellness, further enhancing her ability to guide patients toward a healthier lifestyle.
Outside of her professional life, Leeza is passionate about traveling the world, and learning about plants, fungi, and nature. She loves being active through yoga, hikes and dancing, as well as expressing her creativity through doodles and painting. These interests not only enrich her personal life but also inform her professional practice by deepening her understanding of natural remedies and holistic health.
